Reimagining the Newark Penn Station Highline as a sunlit urban corridor that blends public engagement with residential comfort, Greenscape prioritizes natural light as its central design element. It contours the building’s perimeter to create a generous communal walkway that invites both residents and visitors to circulate, gather, and connect. The first three floors host public programs designed to foster interaction and accessibility, including a library, daycare, restaurants, cafés, and lounge spaces.

Above, ten residential floors offer private living spaces, each carefully oriented to receive direct sunlight through angled apertures and expansive windows. These openings frame dynamic views of the city and shift in character throughout the day, creating a living facade that responds to time and season. By layering public and private zones and emphasizing light as a spatial tool, Greenscape brings people together and offers a peaceful space in the city.
