Using comfort as the basis of the project, a team of 30 students designed a poolside cabana for the community of Newark. Cascade refers to a “paradigm shift” that encourages the user to change the way they approach comfort. As each person interacts with Cascade, they will find their way to find comfort: whether through shading for the hot summer sun or for relaxation. Using sturdy and long-lasting materials, Cascade is also meant to be easily assembled and disassembled for easy storage and relocation.
